Cross Sound will never sell your personal or financial information to any third party. If you decide to participate in Cross Sound’s marketing programs (including but not limited to customer loyalty programs, incentives, rewards programs, promotions or contests), Cross Sound may collect personal information to facilitate its marketing programs and communicate with customers who have expressed an interest in upcoming specials, discounts, and helpful travel tips. By participating in Cross Sound’s marketing programs, you agree to review and comply with the rules, terms and conditions of each such program. You should read the rules, terms and conditions of Cross Sound’s marketing programs before participating.

Cross Sound’s website is not directed at children under thirteen (13) years of age. Accordingly, Cross Sound does not intentionally collect any personal information from anyone under thirteen (13) years of age.

Your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address is a numeric code used to communicate between your Internet service provider and the World Wide Web. The IP address does not identify you individually. Cross Sound gathers IP addresses and other site usage data to administer its website and compile broad demographic information for internal use by Cross Sound and its affiliates.

Cross Sound may use temporary cookies to remember certain information you enter into your profile on Cross Sound's website, including but not limited to, your name, address and telephone number, for your convenience and to expedite your subsequent transactions on the website. No credit card information is collected or stored by any Cross Sound related Cookies. Cross Sound related Cookies also collect anonymous, non-personal information to make your use of Cross Sound’s website easier and allow Cross Sound to track and improve the effectiveness of its on-line advertising.

Security

Cross Sound takes reasonable precautions and institutes reasonable procedures to protect your personal information and credit card information from misuse or unauthorized disclosure. Cross Sound does not store your financial information or social security number on its website.

In connection with the Cross Sound Rewards Program, the unique password you select and your assigned Rewards Account Number prevent others from accessing your personal information. Cross Sound strongly recommends that you do not disclose your password to anyone.

Right to Opt-Out

You have the option to exclude yourself from Cross Sound’s marketing email contact lists by opting out at any time. Cross Sound provides the opportunity to opt-out of receiving future marketing email communications from Cross Sound at any time via the “opt-out” link that is included at the bottom of any promotional email from Cross Sound. In addition, Members participating in the Cross Sound Rewards Program may opt-out of receiving future marketing email communications from Cross Sound by checking the appropriate box in the online enrollment application for the Rewards Program, or by logging into the Member’s Rewards Account, clicking the “Edit My Account” link, and checking the box next to: “I do not want to receive email promotions.” The Member must then click “Continue.”

While on Cross Sound’s website (www.longislandferry.com) you may link to other websites. Other websites may collect data and personal information from you and operate according to their own privacy practices. If you link or go to any site outside Cross Sound’s website, any information you submit to those sites is beyond the control of Cross Sound and is not subject to Cross Sound’s Privacy Policy.
